The 5.0.0 release supports NU5 activation on mainnet, which will occur at a block height of 1687104 (May 31st), following the targeted EOS halt of our 4.6.0-2 and 4.7.0 releases on May 16th. Release binaries will be available later today and instructions on how to install can be found on our download site.

TL;DR: The 4.5.0, 4.5.1, and 4.5.1-1 zcashd nodes will reach End of Service on or about January 10th, 2022. Prior to that time, miners must upgrade to 4.6.0-1 and all other testnet and mainnet nodes should upgrade to either 4.6.0 or 4.6.0-1.

ECC and its parent 501(c)3 Bootstrap received coins at a value above the operating-expense level for Q2 2021. During Q2 2021 Bootstrap received coins at an average of $1,438,000 a month and incurred average monthly expenses of approximately $655,000.
