ECC launched Zcash — a privacy-protecting, digital currency built on vanguard science — in 2016, and we continue to support the technology, along with others.
Our vision for Zcash is that it will provide equal access to economic systems and give everyone the ability to participate in economic activity.

After releasing multiple updates to zcashd and lightwalletd, plus new mobile SDKs that, together, introduced new innovations (and learning) in the world of cryptography and decentralized money, ECC is exiting Emergency Mode.
New Release 5.7.0
zcashd 5.7.0 deprecates fetch-params.sh and zcash-fetch-params and bundles zk-SNARK parameters directly so they do not need to be downloaded or stored separately. All node operators, which include our mining and other ecosystem partners, should upgrade to this latest version as soon as possible.
