Zashi Wallet – Terms of Use
(Including End User License Agreement)

Welcome to Zashi, a Zcash-only mobile wallet developed by Zerocoin Electric Coin Company LLC (“ECC”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Zashi wallet application (the “App”) and include the End User License Agreement (the “License”).

Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Description of the App

Zashi is a non-custodial mobile wallet that enables users to manage and transact with Zcash (ZEC), including shielded and transparent addresses. We do not store, have access to, or control your private keys, backup phrases, or ZEC.

3. Eligibility

You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence and legally capable of entering into contracts. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

4. Global Use & Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the App complies with all laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including those related to digital assets, data protection, anti-money laundering, and economic sanctions.

ECC makes no representation that the App is appropriate or available in all jurisdictions. Accessing or using the App where prohibited is not allowed.

Zashi is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal information unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., through optional support requests or bug reporting).

8. Fees

Zashi does not charge fees for downloading or using the App. However, transactions on the Zcash network may incur miner fees. These are determined by the network and are not set or collected by ECC.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate or interact with third-party services (e.g., block explorers, network nodes). ECC does not control or endorse these third parties and is not responsible for their actions or failures.

10. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. ECC disclaims all warranties including but not limited to:

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ECC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:

Transaction Irreversibility and No Liability for Losses

All transactions initiated through the App are final once submitted to the Zcash network. Zashi and ECC do not have access to user private keys, funds, or transaction data, and therefore cannot reverse, modify, or recover any transaction. The App relies on third-party services for certain features (such as address validation or network broadcasting). While we take care in selecting these partners, we assume no responsibility for any loss, error, or malfunction arising from third-party services. You acknowledge and agree that you use the App and any integrated third-party services at your own risk, and that the App bears no liability for any direct or indirect loss of funds.

12. Intellectual Property

All content and code associated with the App, except where noted as open-source, is owned or licensed by ECC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.

13. Updates & Modifications

We may update or modify the App or these Terms at any time. Updates may be required for continued use. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware (USA), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA.

15. End User License Agreement (EULA)

This software is provided under the terms of the Consent to Use of Data clause, External Services clause, and MIT license reproduced below. It may also depend on software provided under other compatible open-source licenses.

Consent to Use of Data: You agree that Licensor may collect and use technical data and related information—including but not limited to technical information about your device, system and application software, and peripherals—that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support, and other services to you (if any) related to the Licensed Application. Licensor may use this information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to improve its products or to provide services or technologies to you.

External Services: The Licensed Application may enable access to Licensor’s and/or third-party services and websites (collectively and individually, “External Services”). You agree to use the External Services at your sole risk. Licensor is not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of any third-party External Services, and shall not be liable for any such third-party External Services. Data displayed by any Licensed Application or External Service, including but not limited to financial, medical and location information, is for general informational purposes only and is not guaranteed by Licensor or its agents. You agree not to use the External Services to harass, abuse, stalk, threaten or defame any person or entity, and that Licensor is not responsible for any such use. External Services may not be available in all languages or in your Home Country, and may not be appropriate or available for use in any particular location. To the extent you choose to use such External Services, you are solely responsible for compliance with any applicable laws. Licensor reserves the right to change, suspend, remove, disable or impose access restrictions or limits on any External Services at any time without notice or liability to you.
